Intuitive Counseling, Self-Conscious Spiritualization, Truth Comes from Within, etc…
The search for truth has always been the subject of so many schools of thought. Many think that what is true for one person might not be true for another. But let me ask you this; Suppose I didn’t believe the light was red and thought it was green, would you ride in the car with me when I drive? 2+2=4, no matter what anyone thinks; it will always be true.
It really is possible to know the real truth. I started this study because I want to know what to say to someone I know who is an ‘intuitive counselor’ and is part of the Unity Church. She is a very nice woman. I know she means well. She thinks she is helping people. But, like I was, she is sincerely wrong, sincerely deceived. There are so many things people believe that ‘seem good’, and the people themselves ‘seem so nice’. But the truth is that there are only two sources of supernatural power; 1. the power of the true God of the Bible and 2. the power of the devil in disguise; he has many ‘names’ and wears many ‘masks’. Don’t be fooled! This study is to expose just some of the lies of the enemy; he hates everyone and delights in deceiving them.
The one source of truth is found from the One who created you; in His book, the Word of God, the Bible. There are even false ‘Bibles’ that have enough of God’s original words that they seem to all say ‘basically the same thing’. But careful study will reveal that Satan has once again, as he did in the garden, ask us to question; ‘hath God said’? Is there really one perfect Bible? I believed the lie for years that most Bibles say basically the same thing. But I know the truth. God’s preserved word- because the originals are not in existence- is the King James Bible. It is not ‘out of date’ but it is God’s original words. If you read another Bible ‘version’, but you love the Lord, as I did, just be willing to compare yours with the KJV, by reading them side by side. God will show you the truth. Anyway, the point is, there can only be one truth, and it is found in the Bible.
I am going to compare some of the beliefs of people today- especially in the ‘new age’ movement– with what God says.
1. The goal to be who you authentically are, and man is the standard by which all life is judged. Man can create his own reality.
The truth: But man’s wisdom is limited, so there is no way we can solve all life’s problems.Absolute truth does exist.
John 14:6 (KJV) 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
2. Spiritual truth comes from within; Listen to your heart.
The truth: You can’t trust your heart.

26He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 (KJV)
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
3. You can get guidance from past lives, talking to the dead...
The truth: By doing this you are talking to demons and bringing judgment on you and those to whom you teach.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
4. We are all gods, or can become gods…
The truth: There is only one true God, who is love

18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:21-22 (KJV)
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
5. Reincarnation, past lives, etc.
The truth: God created us to live one life, to know Him here on earth, and to experience true love from Him now and forever in Heaven. He didn’t make a mistake and want us to live over and over until we get it right. We can never ‘achieve nirvana, or peace’ on our own. The Lord gave us the ability to choose Him freely, and He does not possess like the devil does.

6. You can heal yourself.
The truth: The word of God can heal you, the Lord can heal you, give you a new heart; this I know by experience.

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
I once knew a woman who was part of the Unity Church/ Unitarian Universalist. She was having shooting pains each night; she said it felt like someone was stabbing her eyes with knives. Maybe you have had weird experiences, too. Take heed to what I have said here, because it is the truth. The devil is very powerful and his power is real. Many like having this power but the end will lead them to hell where there is eternal fire, torment, and worms forever and ever. The Lord Jesus Christ came to set you free, give you real peace, joy, and love that is everlasting. I know because He has set me free from so many things. The Lord has healed my heart from so much pain. The Lord has changed me over the years to become a person who is full of joy and peace. The Christian life is not easy, often with times of suffering; but to know the true God, who alone is good, who alone is love, is all you will ever need. Today is the day of salvation. Talk to the Lord, trust Him with your heart; He has the best plan for your life because, when you die, you will live with Him forever in Heaven. In Heaven there will be no more pain, but you will be in the presence of the Lord forever. Jesus Christ is God, and He took the punishment for our sins- for all have sinned- by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead- He is the Living God. All the other ‘gods’ are only the devil in disguise, or idols, dead things. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and the only way to the Father in Heaven, who loves you and is calling you to surrender your life to Him today, now! Today is the day of salvation, the day you can know the Author of Truth, the Lord Jesus Christ, God Almight, who alone is all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present.
